Date
07/02/2012

Promoted through the company’s payslips, Barracuda is offering its 3500 employees and their friends and family a 25% discount on food ordered in its pubs.

Jane Biss, HR Director at the Barracuda Pub Group said: “We’ve introduced the 25% discount to reward the efforts of all our employees and thank them for their hard work. It gives them a chance to treat their friends and relatives along with sampling some of the great food that we have on offer.”

From a customer perspective, the national pub operator will be offering a number of food and drink deals throughout the day starting with a full English breakfast from £1.79.  For lunch, customers can choose a Jacket Potato and Cheese for just £1.99 or a Grilled Tandoori Chicken Naan for £2.99. Catering for the grey market, Barracuda have created their light meals section which incorporates five pub favourites such as Fish, Chips & Peas; Scampi & Chips and Sausage, Mash & Gravy for £2.99. From 2pm, Barracuda will be offering two for one on their hand-pressed 7oz burgers.

Following their January Real Ale promotion, Barracuda will be offering a second Real Ale deal which sees the continuation of offering Morland’s Original from £1.69 a pint along with offering another lower alcohol Ale, Marston’s Classic Pale Ale at 2.8%, from £1.39 a pint.  A 125ml glass of Kumala wine is available at 99p.

Talking about the money saving offers, Myles Doran, Head of Marketing at Barracuda Pub Group said; “Our customer’s response to our January deals has been received really well and as a result have decided to run similar deals throughout February. Our experience is that people are visiting pubs and dining out, but price, and more importantly quality, is key when deciding where to eat.”
